May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy, and enough money to buy gifts!!

Thought for 2018:

"For travel to be delightful one must have a good place to leave and return to."

- Frederick B. Wilcox

This is SunnySide Up - A small studio apartment over my garage.  It has a private entrance, its own deck, kitchen, bath and a roomy walk in closet with a chest of drawers.  The studio itself consists of a large room and a small porch.  There is cable TV, WiFi and Netflix.  The large room has a futon that is a double bed and a Murphy cabinet that makes into a queen size bed, so it could sleep 4 persons if they were friendly.  The porch can be a place to sit and read, play board games or do art.  I used to rent this apartment out but now I hope it will become a vacation destination for my friends who want to visit St Petersburg for up to two weeks stay.  To stay longer might strain friendship, but could be discussed.  I will not ask rent for your stay but you will want to rent your own car to get around.  You would be able to walk to Tampa Bay, the City swimming pool, the City tennis courts and all the night life of a vibrant downtown city.  You can drive 15-20 minutes to the Gulf of Mexico and swim or fish.  You can drive an hour and a 30 minutes and you will be in Orlando and Disney World or you can drive 40 minutes to Busch Gardens Park.  There is baseball (The Rays), hockey (The Boltz) or soccer (The Rowdies) and in Tampa there is football (The Bucs)... so lots to do.  Here are some photos:

Here is the front yard of my house which I have named SunnySide Cottage

In the rear of the house is the garage apartment which I call SunnySide Up - Steps lead up and you look down on my house from your own deck

This is the little kitchen

This shows the futon, the TV and beyond it through the French doors is the small porch

This is the queen bed and it fits into the cabinet... beyond the cabinet, behind the curtains is a small walk-in closet with a chest of drawers

The bath is off the kitchen - no tub, just a shower.
